Q: Who am I?

A: I am Tony Salas. I have been affiliated with Diablo Valley Take A Card since 1994. I have lived with my family in Central Contra Costa County for the past 20 years. I have a successful small business in addition to Take-A-Card Advertising and so I understand the challenges of small business owners. I love working with small business & tradesmen to offer cost effective advertising.

Q: What type of business do you have?

A: I have an advertising and business marketing service with 15 Business Card Kiosk displays located throughout the Diablo Valley.(Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Martinez) Each display contains 32 secure compartments to billboard your business card or promotion. A website was launched recently to compliment the display locations and to enhance its effectiveness. Your business card is promoted in high traffic businesses via the Business Card Kiosk to the general public. The Kiosk signage is designed to drive website traffic! Thus further promoting advertiser’s business services & products.

Q: What is the purpose of your business?

A: The purpose of my business is to provide cost effective advertising and marketing consultation to small and medium sized businesses located in the Diablo Valley.

Q: How is your service different from your competition?

A: My service is on going, 7 days a week for 3, 6 or 12-month increments for one low price. The more time you reserve the more valuable the service. Your business cards are distributed only to people that are interested in your business. Free self-service kiosks’ located in busy neighborhood businesses distribute your business cards to potential new customers. A website compliments physical kiosks’ locations with enhanced market awareness and local marketing of your product or service. My service is cost effective and simple to execute.

Q: Is this service used in conjunction with other services?

A: As a marketing consultant to small business I encourage a multi-dimensional marketing and advertising strategy to achieve maximum return on investment. Advertising in conjunction with seasonal and promotional specials, and in conjunction with alternate channels such as website creation, networking, print, industry publications and classified advertising. Using different advertising methods concurrently diversifies your investment and protects against failed campaigns and promotions.

Q: What are three benefits of your product/service?

A:
a. Cost effective advertising which means profitable upside potential.
b. Unique business card utilization and distribution via Kiosk’s & Website references which means new ways to reach potential customers.
c. New customers equals new sales, revenues, and profits for small businesses.

Q: What is the cost of your service vs. your competition?

A: I am extremely competitive in my pricing compared to my competitors. Newspaper and Yellow Pages can be in the thousands of dollars per year, direct mailing and free publications can be one to three thousand dollars per year. Canvassers and door hangers are hundreds per distribution. I charge a fraction for an on going (3 or 12 months) “always on” advertising service. At $5.00 per display rack location, times the number of locations, equals my baseline service charge. Discounts are given for seasonal fluctuations in business, length of reservation and for services rendered.

Q: Does it work?

A: As with any advertising effectiveness can vary. I can say that many advertisers continue to renew their contracts with me. Some have been surprised at the effectiveness of the kiosk’s. I have heard many success stories from my clients’. Their cards were found in my kiosk locations and that led to big jobs or multiple jobs from the same customer. It does work! I myself receive 10-12 calls per month from people inquiring about my services. So I know it works!
